Comprehensive Literature Review of Factors Influence Work Happiness of Employees during the COVID-19 Pandemic

The number of COVID-19 cases on August 18, 2021, had been over 208 million globally, with over 4,300,000 deaths. With the rapid spread of COVID-19, all countries have to prevent its spread by social distancing, prolonged lockdown, wearing masks, closure communities, clubs, bars, schools and businesses, especially hotels and restaurants. Most hotel and restaurant staff have to work from home. Some lay off and don't have payment, so there is an effect on their work happiness and get anxiety. Stress can cause of fear, anger, sadness, worry, numbness, or dissatisfaction. People might feel nervous about the future or unsatisfied by the way their life has changed. However, satisfaction at the workplace is essential for improving productivity in any organization. Happiness at work refers to how pleasant moods and certainty. This paper reviews the definition, causes, and consequences of happiness at the hotel and restaurant staff's work during the COVID-19 pandemic by selecting staff's traits, economic, internal organization, and anxiety factors to know what factors could affect employee happiness during the COVID-19 pandemic. To maintain long-term staff satisfaction at the workplace of hotels and restaurants could probably enhance and prolong hotels and restaurants efficiency and effectiveness.
