Abstract

Museums are valuable learning source and a part of creating learning society. Museums can be used to stimulate learning and help learners learn about themselves and the others. In addition, museums can be a part that support learners to build their thinking skill, the essential skill for learners who will be living in the 21st century. Museums in 21st century will be lifelong learning centers that provide academic data or knowledge and connect them as element that can make or support better quality of life of people in society. Moreover, museums can be the place for recreational and tourism locations for everyone. To be the 21st lifelong learning center and place for recreational and tourism locations for everyone, museums in Thailand should develop itself in many aspects such as 1) Place 2) Museum Presentation and Support Museum Presentation 3) Area usage management 4) Cooperation and collaborations with other museums 5) Public relations and 6) Personnel. This article provides meaning, importance of, type of, and a viewpoint about museums as learning source that can be used to develop learners who will be living in 21st century.
