Information Sources for Innovation

Development of the country with an emphasis on an economy driven by innovation is a key strategy. Both public and private organizations focus on developing organizations to have innovative performance and develop personnel to have the characteristics of creative and innovative thinking. Personnel need to be knowledgeable and understanding about innovative information sources, both internal and external. They are able to access and use them for opportunities to create or develop new products, processes, or services to benefit the organization. This article presents innovation in terms of its meaning and significance, types of information sources for innovation, and information searching on innovation such as innovation databases, innovative information systems, and innovation networks.
