Factors towards decision making in information usage among academic staff in the fast track to professorship project at Kasetsart University

Abstract

This research has objectives: 1) Study the use of information for producing academic work by teachers in the project  2) Study of factors influencing teachers' decision to use information for academic production in the fast track to professorship project at Kasetsart University. The sample group included teachers who participated in the project to increase professors in steps 63 people. The research tools include questionnaires, data analysis by calculating frequencies, means, standard deviations and normal multiple regression. The research results found that 1) Using information to produce academic work by teachers in the project in the fast track to professorship project at Kasetsart University consists of modern content and quality of content 2) Factors influencing information use decisions. It is important in deciding to use information. For teachers at the high level, the averages were 3.62 and 3.61. and demographic data can together explain the decision to use information for producing academic work 87.9 % when controlling for the influence of other independent variables to be constant. Variables that influence teachers' decision to use information for producing academic work in the fast track to professorship project at Kasetsart University, age has an influence at the level. 520 (ß=.520) Education level Has an influence value at level .440 (ß=.440) and work experience Has an influence value at level. 128 (ß=.128)
