The Development of Information Sources in Locality

The article on The Development of Information Sources in Locality aims to present the process of developing information sources in locality and the benefits of information sources in locality. The development of information sources in locality involves important processes, including: 1) acquiring information resources; 2) acquiring materials and equipment; 3) organizing information systems; 4) landscaping; and 5) organizing reading promotion activities. The development of information sources in locality will benefit the locality according to the letter code model L-O-C-A-L-I-T-Y, which means the development according to the characteristics of “specific locality," consisting of L-Lifelong Learning Support Resource, O-Opportunities and Equality Society, C-Creative Economy, A-Aging Gracefully, L-Local Wisdom Preservation, I-Ideal Society, T-Transitioning towards Sustainability, and Y-Yield Positive Results. One of the mechanisms that supports the sustainable development of local knowledge and wisdom is the development of information sources in locality.
