Maldives: Spatial Experience of Tourism Management in the Way of Sea and Island

Abstract

This article was written based on the experience of the visiting to Maldives between 29th November to 4th December 2019, and presented research paper at international conference. The purpose of this paper was to study and record the journey and guidelines for tourism management from the experience of area studies. This paper studied by using area-based survey, documentary study and related research, and interview. Results indicated that tourism management in Maldives has gained the main income of tourism management from islands, beaches and marine nature. From statistical data of current year showed that there were at least 2 million tourists who traveled to Maldives. Maldives has prepared sufficient service sector resources for tourists throughout the year including hotels, accommodation and facilities. Maldives is a country of best practice model of
tourism management that should be applied as a learning model and compared to tourism management in Thailand.
