Ten Royal Virtues of the King for Current Thai Governance

Abstract

The article entitled “Ten royal virtues of the King for current Thai governance” aims to apply the concept of Buddhism from royal virtues of the King used with Thai governance. The study methods were documentary study, related research papers and observing the nature of holistic Thai governance. Results indicated that Buddhism has been associated with Thai people since the past in terms of governance, education, society and tradition by relying on the principles of the Buddha’s teachings as the foundation. For the present time, city administrators at all levels can bring the ten royal virtues of the King to apply in administration and management for the benefit of the people. This principle can drive the country to grow beyond the political crisis and encourage well society and economy including the nation’s progress and the people can live together happily. Therefore, it can be seen that Dharma in Buddhism can be applied to the administration of the country very well and concrete. Leaders at all levels should have knowledge and ability, and should be able to apply Buddhist principles that based on morality and ethics in their duties. In addition, all parties must join and integrate work together in order to manage the country for peace and reconciliation with the people in the country.
