The Dhamma of Unity in Kathina Ceremony

Abstract

Kathina is considered as a special big merit because it must be compound of Liberality, Period, Place, People, and Dhamma that means 1) Liberality is an offering dedicated to Buddhist monks which consists of not less than 4 number of monks, 2) Kathina can be held only during the first of warning month the 11st month till the 15th of the the 12th month that means only within a month period after the end of Buddhist lent season, 3) Kathina can be done with only one temple a year, 4) the one who can accept kathina must be Buddhist monks who stay in that temple during 3 months of the Buddhist lent season and there are totally at least 5 monks in that temple, 5) Kathina is considered as the the unity Dhamma because it can be done with the helping hands to dyeing , cutting and sawing the clothe to finish and Kathina Khandhaka in one day. To ask for being the host of Kathina presented the original strong intention that create the merit happened on that day. Then, the way to apply to be the host of this year Kathina for the selected case study of Neo Exhibit Co.,Ltd. and their teamwork that have the clear objective which is to build up the faith that consists of wisdom by starting to build a little book for giving correct knowledge and understanding of doing Kathina . To complete Kathina, they need to have the team’s unity that can drive all of us to get success in this special big merit.
