Buddhadhamma Integration for Administrative Efficiency Enhancement of The Local Administrative Organizations in Udon Thani Province

Abstract

Objectives of this dissertation were: 1. To study the administrative efficiency level of the local administrative organizations in Udon Thani Province. 2. To study the factors affecting administrative efficiency of the local administrative organizations in Udon Thani Province, and 3. To Propose a model of Buddhadhamma integration for administrative efficiency enhancement of the local administrative organizations in Udon Thani province. Methodology was the mixed methods.

Findings were as follows:

1. The administrative efficiency, by overall, was at high level. Considering each dimension separately, it was found that the administrative process, productivity, outcome, and expenditure dimensions were all at high levels.


2. Factors affecting the administrative efficiency were found that the New Public Administration and Sappurisa-Dhamma7, (seven virtues of good persons). Both factors collectively affected the administrative efficiency of the local administrative organizations in Udon Thani Province at the statistically significant level of 0.01. The Sappurisa-Dhamma 7 and the New Public Administration can explain the variations of the administrative efficiency level of the local administrative organizations in Udon Thani Province at 69.20 and 26.20. percent with factors' standard regression coefficients at 0.832 and 0.512, respectively.


3. The model of Buddhadhamma integration was found that the administrative efficiency of local administrative organizations of 3 dimensions all three dimensions: 1) the expenditure or cost dimension; 2) the administrative process dimension; and 3) the productivity and outcome dimension were enhanced by two factors as follows; the New Public Administration and Sappurisa-Dhamma 7. These two factors significantly enhanced the administrative efficiency.
