The Influence of School Administrators’ Ethical Leadership on Organizational Climate in Schools under the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office

Abstract
This objectives of this research were (1) to study the level of ethical leadership among school administrators in schools under the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office; (2) to study the level of organizational climate in schools under the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office; and (3) determine the influence of school administrators’ ethical leadership on organizational climate. The research employed a predictive research design. The sample consisted of 333 school administrators and teachers from schools under the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office during the 2025 academic year. Participants were selected using stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that: (1) School administrators’ ethical leadership was rated at a high level overall. Among the dimensions, integrity received the highest mean score, followed by fairness, whereas service to others received the lowest mean score. (2) Organizational climate in schools was rated at a high level overall. Among the dimensions, teacher collaboration received the highest mean score, followed by teacher and staff participation, while performance expectations received the lowest mean score. (3) School administrators’ ethical leadership significantly influenced organizational climate at the .05 significance level. The strongest predictors, in descending order of influence, were: fairness (X3), community building (X5), respect for others (X1), integrity (X4), and service to others (X2). Together, these variables explained 78.9% of the variance in organizational climate (R² = 0.789).
