A Synthesis Model of Academic Administration of The Buddhist Scripture School,General Education Division

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the current models of the academic administration of the Buddhist Scripture School ( General Education) And to synthesize for the possible model (s) for the academic administration of the Buddhist Scripture School ( General Education) Data were collected from 15 school directors and 150 teachers through questionnaire , then they were analyzed by using arithmetic mean and standard deviation. The model was validated by experts through focus group technique.The research findings showed that both the current and the possible models of the academic administration of the Buddhist Scripture School (General Education) were the formal model , while the proposed model was the mixed model between the formal and the collegial models. Data showed that the academic planning component, the academic development promotion component , and measurement and evaluation component were formal model corresponded to the rule of the Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand. The curriculum administration component, the instructional management component, and the instructional medias and resources management component were the collegial model due to they had to work cooperately with other people and organizations. The model was validated by experts through focus group technique for the appropriateness and the possibility.
