The Administrative Model for the Schools Affiliated to the Thailand Christian Council Foundation

Abstract

The research aimed to propose the administrative model for the schools affiliated to the Thailand Christian Council Foundation. It was a qualitative work. A case study was undertaken in the six schools in terms of administration. The subjects were 30 school administrators and teachers from five schools. The model and the handbook were evaluated by 21 experts in light of suitability, possibility and usefulness. The research instruments were a questionnaire, an in-depth interview and an evaluation format. Statistics were percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The research findings. The administration of the school in the study was found to be at a high level. The most problematic aspect was that the administration was not systematic, having no continuation and application of the administrative model. The model under study consisted of the following components: 1. three principles included administration, integration, and use of the network; 2. objective was an effective school administration; 3. working mechanism included directors, managers, and administrative committee; 4. procedures were planning, organization, leadership, and control, which were implemented in academic aspect, budget, personnel and general administration; 5. evaluation was based on the success of application of the administrative model, and the satisfaction of the administrators and teachers; 6. success conditions described an awareness of the administrators, coordination between the network schools, and cooperation of all personnel in the administration. The administrative model under study was found to be suitable at the highest level, possible and useful at a high level. A majority of the experts viewed that the administrative model, if used in the development process, could have a positive effect on the school development.
