The development of elements and indicators of school administration under the foundation of the church of christ in thailand in accordance with the concept of essential future work skills

Abstract

The aim of this research was to develop the research elements and indicators of school administration in schools under The Foundation of the Church of Christ in Thailand in accordance with the concept of essential future work skills. In this study, the data were collected from five educational experts specializing in school administration, research and evaluation, and curriculum and instruction. For data collection, Indexes of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) and appropriateness assessment form were used as the instruments. To analyze the data, Indexes of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) and the average appropriateness of indicators calculated in each element were employed.

The results of the study revealed that the first element regarding the academic affairs management can be divided into three components: 1) goal-setting of the curriculum 2) instructional management and 3) evaluation of instructional management, all of which include 20 indicators. As for the second element regarding the student affairs management, it also consists of three components: 1) goal-setting of the development of a curriculum for student development activities 2) student development activities management and 3) evaluation of student development activities management, all of which involve 20 indicators. In addition, it was found that Indexes of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) for all indicators were between 0.8 and 1.0. The average appropriateness of all indicators was between 4.20 and 5.00, all of which were considered as “PASS” based on the criteria.
