สภาพการดำเนินงานและปัญหาการพัฒนางานด้านการผดุงครรภ์ไทย ในโรงพยาบาลรัฐของประเทศไทย

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the operating conditions and the problems in the development of Thai traditional midwifery in government hospitals in Thailand; 2)to investigate the relationship between the operating conditions of Thai traditional midwifery and the problems in the development of Thai traditional midwifery in government hospitals in Thailand and the samples were 458 doctors of Thai traditional medicine or applied Thai traditional medicine. They were selected by a stratified random sampling method. The research instrument was a questionnaire on the conditions and the problems of Thai midwifery operations in government hospitals. The content validity was between 0.6 - 1.00 and the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient values were 0.898 and 0.836. The statistics used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The results showed that the samples’ opinions on the operating conditions of Thai traditional midwifery in government hospitals and the problems in the development of Thai midwives in government hospitals were at a high level (Mean = 4.06, S.D. = 0.34; Mean = 4.12, S.D. = 0.39). The factors related to the operating conditions of Thai traditional midwifery in government hospitals were 1) location, tools, appliances and environment (r= .487), 2) personnel (r= .381), 3) operation (r= .596), 4) quality control (r= .481) and 5) service management (r= .621). These five factors were positively correlated with the problems in the development of Thai traditional midwifery in government hospitals with statistical significance at the 0.05 level. The research results can be used to improve operating conditions and solve problems for further development of Thai traditional midwifery in government hospitals in Thailand.
