Efficiency Enhancement in Administration to Adopt Modern Technology and Network in Tax Collection of Municipalities in Pathum Thani Province according to the Digital Era Administration Concept

Abstract

This study aimed to study problems, guidelines, and models of efficiency enhancement in administration to adopt modern technology and network in tax collection of Municipalities in Pathum Thani Province according to the Digital Era Administration Conceptand to study the efficiency enhancement in administration related to the adoption of modern technology and network in tax collection of Municipalities in Pathum Thani Province according to the Digital Era Administration Concept. The author has designed this research as a mixed method research. Questionnaire was used as a research instrument for the quantitative research, while in depth interview with 12 experts were a research instrument for the qualitative research. Population was all people living in the areas of 9 Municipalities in Pathum Thani Province. Total of 1,108 samples were calculated by using Taro Yamane’s formula. Field data collection was collected during April 1-30, 2018 and total 1,004 completed sets of questionnaire, equaled to 90.61% of the 1,108 total sample, were returned. The statistics used in the research were mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Research results found that problems of efficiency enhancement in administration was in a moderate level. Guideline of efficiency enhancement in administration was in a high level. Models of efficiency enhancement in administration was in a moderate level.The efficiency enhancement in administration was related to the adoption of modern technology and network in tax collection of Municipalities in Pathum Thani Province according to the Digital Era Administration Concept at the statistical significance.
