Online Dispute Resolution Laws and Regulations for Electronic Commercial Transactions in European Union, the United States of America and Thailand

Abstract
This research is a comparative study of current situation and relevant laws regarding online dispute resolution in electronic commerce transaction among European Union, the United States of America and Thailand. The purpose of this study is to react to the increasing value of electronic commerce and to improve a law and regulation in Thailand. According to this research, online dispute resolution regulation in European Union is most concrete while there is no explicit rule on this matter in the United States of America. Thailand is in a state of lacking of rule and regulation and has only one online dispute resolution provider. The researcher therefore suggests to study on rules and regulation regarding the online dispute of electronic commerce transaction to regulate such issue in which will be arisen in the near future. Thailand may encourage online traders to have their own policy by using guideline issued by government as well as using Trustmark for their creditability.
