The Project Evaluation on the Teacher Production for Local Development Using CIPP Model for the Case of Second Year Students at Faculty of Education, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University

Abstract

                 The project evaluation on the teacher production for local development using CIPPA Model aimed to assess objectives, determine problems, and provide suggestions for the process of the project implemented for the second-year students at Faculty of Education, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University. The sample used included 168 second year teacher students at Faculty of Education, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University. Data were collected using a 5-rating scale questionnaire and were analyzed using percentage, average, standard deviation, and content analysis. Research results were as follow: 1) The overall results on the project evaluation on the teacher production for local development using CIPPA Model was at high level. 2) Problems and suggestions for the process of the project were found as follow:  (2.1) Conditions of project’s procedure aspect indicated the timeframe was critical. There was not enough time to prepare for students’ activities. Suggestions were offered that the process should be planned in advance and the project should be set at the beginning of the semester. (2.2)       Basic factors of the project aspect found that a group divided students with the same program. Students from different programs would offer more opportunity to share and learn from each other. (2.3) Process of the project aspect found that some activities of each station were duplicate. The activity should be more interesting and clearer with the appropriate timeframe. (2.4)  Outcomes of the project aspect indicated the duration of times spent with ideal teachers were too short. Students should be provided longer time to interview and observe teachers while working at school.
