Abstract

Abstract

          Good Governance has been political debate in Thailand since B.E. 2540 (1997),

which The Constitutional of the Kingdom of Thailand, B.E. 2540 (1997) was drafting. The preliminary version emphasized the administration of country as democratic society and more civic engagement. Subsequently, there was the Regulations of the Office of the Prime Minister on Good Governance, B.E. 2542 (1999), which required all government agencies to run under six good governance principles. Subsequently, there was the Royal Decree Concerning Protection and Good Governance 2546 (2003) consisted of ten good governance principles. And Subsequently, the Office of Public Sector Development grouped good governance principles in concerning protection consisted of four good governance principles and 10 sub good governance principles which was approved by the cabinet meeting on April 24, 2012. The new good governance principles in concerning protection consisted of 1) New Public Management, involved Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Responsiveness 2) Democratic Value, involved Accountability, Transparency, Rule of Law, and Equity3) Participatory Oriented, involved Participation/Consensus Oriented and Decentralization 4) Administrative Responsibility, involved Morality/Ethics.
