Good Governance Implementation Strategy in Academic Affairs of Schools in the Northeastern Region of Thailand

Abstract

Academic affair is a principle and the most important affair in schools which the schools should develop strategies for using in the schools’ academic affairs to help supporting the academic affairs’ quality as it should be. For the strategy using good governance in school academic affairs in the northeast of Thailand, it should include schools’ vision, missions, goals, strategies. projects / activities, and indicators of success while principles of good governance which are suitable for using in each school academic affair should be considered from suitability and concordance with each other. Including, 1) Curriculum development is suitable for using principles of value for money, participation, and accountability. 2) Learning and teaching in schools is suitable for using principles of value for money, integrity, and participation. 3) Internal assurance system and education standards development are suitable for using principles of rule of law, participation. value for money, transparency, and accountability. 4) Learning assessment and transfer of learning outcomes are suitable for using principles of rule of law, and transparency. 5) Education supervision is suitable for using principles of value for money, participation. integrity, and accountability. 6) Community promoting to be smart in academic is suitable for using principles of integrity, participation, value for money, and accountability. And 7) Learning media and educational technology development are suitable for using principles of value for money, accountability, and transparency.
