- PARTICIPATION OF PARENTS IN ORGENIZING ACTIVITIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES A CASE STUDY OF THE SARABURI SPECIAL EDUCATION CENTER -

Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to study the participation of parents in organizing development activities for students with disabilities; A case study of the Special Education Center in Saraburi Province (2) to study the parents' suggestions on the development of parental participation in the development of students with disabilities. The research model was research and development. The population consisted of parents of students with disabilities studying at the preparatory level. Saraburi Special Education Center, a total of 306 people. The sample consisted of parents of students with disabilities studying at the preparatory level. special education center Saraburi Province, 13 people were obtained by purposive sampling. The questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting data. The researcher analyzed the data using a statistical package. Data obtained from questionnaires and interviews were then analyzed using descriptive statistics consisting of mean (× ̅) and standard deviation (S.D).

The research results found that

1) Participation of parents in organizing activities to develop students with disabilities. A case study of the Special Education Center of Saraburi Province The overall picture is at a high level. Sorted in descending order, including learning at home. Volunteer aspect of parenting as a parent Cooperation with the community Communication and decision-making, respectively.

2) Suggestions from parents Schools should communicate with parents. parents give more Communication should be specific for speed and convenience. Training meetings should be organized to lead to the development of mutual understanding. Schools should organize teacher training activities. School personnel to acknowledge and understand the school's policy.
