THE DEVELOPMENT OF ACTIVITIES ACCORDING TO THE CONCEPT OF LEARNING TRAJECTORIES IN CLASSROOM USING OPEN APPROACH TO ENHANCE LEARNING ON TOPIC OF VOLUME TO FOR GRADE 6 STUDENT
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study was qualitative classroom action research aimed to 1) Development of Activities according to the concept of Learning Trajectories in classroom using Open Approach to enhance learning on topic of Volume Measurement, and 2) study students’ ideas through problem-solving on the topic of volume. The target group consisted of 12 Grade 6 students in the academic year 2024. The Research instruments included lesson plans, activity sheets, field notes, reflection journals, video recordings, and semi-structured interview forms. Data were analyzed using content analysis. Data collection methods were triangulation, and findings were presented through analytical descriptions. The findings revealed that: 1) the activities according to the concept ofLearning Trajectories in classroom using Open Approach consisted of three components: (1) determining The Big ideas, (2) Defining the paths of learning, and (3) designing and implementing activities (2) students’ ideas of volume measurement progressed from comparing quantities using non-standard units, to applying standard units, to constructing formulas for calculating volume, then connecting relationships between units, converting units of volume and capacity, and finally applying these concepts to real-life situations through multiple strategies
