DVELOPMENT GUIDELINES TEACHER COMPETENCY IN ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION LEARNING MANAGEMENT FOR THA-IT MUNICIPAL SCHOOL UTTARADIT PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1. to study the problems and needs to develop teacher competence in English pronunciation learning management, 2. To study the guideline to develop teachers’ competencies in English pronunciation learning management, 3. To assess the appropriate and feasibility of the guidelines to develop teacher competencies in learning management of English read aloud project of Tha-It Municipal School in Uttaradit Province. The sample group consisted of 97 teachers and 10 senior experts. The research instruments consisted of questionnaire of problems and needed experts to interview them in an assessment from to find out the suitability and feasibility analyze of the data by finding the mean and standard deviation.

            The results of the research revealed that the teacher’s problems in learning management in English read aloud at a high level and the demand was at the highest level. Guidelines for developing teacher competencies in English pronunciation learning management. The creation was composed of 5 issues namely 1. creation and developing the curriculum, 2. learning design, 3. organizing activities for learning to read English aloud, 4. using and development of innovative media and technology in learning management and 5. Measurement and evaluation of learning outcomes. The results of the guideline assessment by the school administrators and teachers were of the opinion that the guidelines for the development of teacher competencies in the management of learning to read English aloud were appropriate at the highest level and the probability was at the highest level.
