Special Economic Zone: A Case study of Chiang-Khong, Chiang-Rai provide

Abstract

Chiang-Khong Special Economic Zone can be considered as one of the economic zones that have been important and developed. This can be seen from the government's emphasis on infrastructure investment in the area. Declaration of the area as a special economic zone to promote trade and investment, the 4th Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge, etc., was built. It appears to be a unilateral central government operation. The area still lacks a clear development direction that comes from the needs of all sectors in the area. The dimension of the strategic city for driving the border trade city is still unclear. And lack of hosts who will be key actors to make such developments clear and that all sectors can benefit from such developments.
