GUIDELINES FOR DELVELOPMENT OF PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC POLITICAL BEHAVIORS THROUGH POLICY IN LOMSAK MUNICIPALITY, PHETCHABUN PROVINCE

Abstract

This research article is a part of the research project entitled “The Guidelines for the Development of People’s Democratic Political Behaviors through Policy in LomSak Municipality, Phetchabun Province”. This research aimed to study the guidelines for the development of democratic political behaviors of the people in LomSak Municipality, Phetchabun Province. This qualitative research method was conducted by in-depth interviews. The 11 key participants consisted of 7 community leaders, 2 administrators of LomSak Municipality, and 2 representatives of educational institutes. The research instrument was semi-structured interview. The data were analyzed by the content analysis. The findings of this research found that guidelines for the development of democratic political behaviors of the people in LomSak Municipality, Phetchabun Province consisted of 1) the government sector and people must participate in promoting democratic learning in different forms, 2) the government sector and people must promote appropriately political behaviors for people, and 3) the government sector and people must cooperate with each others in enhancing democracy strengths by various factors.
