THE EFFECTS OF GREEN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT AND ITS ANTECEDENTS ON PERCEIVED ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF PUBLIC HOSPITALS IN THAILAND

The purpose of this study was to examine the causal relationship model between green supply chain management and the effects of its antecedents on the perceived organizational performance of public hospitals in Thailand. The sample consisted of 501 public hospital employees randomly selected by a simple stratified random sampling method, separated by hospital affiliation in each stratum. The questionnaire consisted of four elements: Organizational Culture, Knowledge Management Capability, Green Supply Chain Management, and Perceived Organizational Performance, which were collected by mail. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient ranged from .60 - 1.00, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a structural equation model. The study found that organizational culture has a positive influence on knowledge management capability, green supply chain management, and perceived organizational performance. Knowledge management capability has a positive influence on green supply chain management and perceived organizational performance. Green supply chain management also has a positive effect on perceived organizational performance. The results show that four variables that can be used in this study are organizational culture, knowledge management capability, green supply chain management, and perceived organizational performance. The application of green supply chain management in public hospitals has a positive effect on the perceived performance of public hospitals.
