CAUSAL RELATIONS BETWEEN PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AND THE SUCCESS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN NAKHON RATCHASIMA MUNICIPALITY

This research aimed to 1) determine the success level of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality in project management, 2) assess the level of public participation in project management within Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality, 3) examine the causal relationship between public participation and project management success, and 4) compare public perceptions of project management success, classified by personal factors. The research employed a survey method with 200 household heads residing in municipal communities, randomly selected using two-stage sampling, simple random sampling, and systematic sampling methods. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis, and three-way analysis of variance. The findings revealed that 1) both project management success and public participation in project management in Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality were at a moderate level, 2) public participation had a statistically significant effect on project management success at the 0.05 level, and 3) gender differences led to significantly different views on project management success at the 0.05 level.
