FACTORS AFFECTING INTENTION TO APPLY FOR A JOB OF GENERATION Z IN BANGKOK AND METROPOLITAN REGION

The purpose of this research was to investigate the factors which affect Generation Z’s intention to apply for a job Bangkok and Metropolitan Region. The research methodology was quantitative research with survey method by using questionnaires for data collection. The respondents were 400 participants, who are Generation Z employees or undergraduate students (born from 1995 onwards) live in Bangkok and Metropolitan Region. Descriptive statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Due to hypothesis testing, inferential statistics used were Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).
The research results showed that social influence, job preferences, and organizational attractiveness statistically affect intention to apply for a job of Generation Z at a significance level of 0.05. Besides, social influence statistically affects i job preferences, and organizational attractiveness at a significance level of .001. Regarding the role of job preferences and organizational attractiveness as mediating variables, the findings showed that social influence statistically affects intention to apply for a job of Generation Z at a significance level of 0.001. Meanwhile, social influence statistically affects intention to apply for a job of Generation Z at a significance level of 0.05.
