This study is aimed at investigating political culture and political communication of Malay-Speaking Thai citizens who live in Malaysia by adopting a grounded theory methodology. Data were collected throughout semi-structured interviews on a purposive sampling of 29 Malay-Speaking Thais including Thai restaurant owners, Thai restaurant staff, Thai students and Thai Islamic scholars in Malaysia. The evidence allowed us to conclude that the political culture of the Malay-Speaking Thai is a kind of parochial-participant political culture. This study also found that the Malay-speaking Thai’s structure of communication system including informal fact-to-face contacts, non-political social structures, political input structure, political output structure, mass media and new media.
