Abstract

                  This study has an objective to reveal the making of the “city symphony” documentary style about rice folkways and rice culture in Thailand, using a variety of shooting styles to tell a story through moving images.
                  To make The Songs of Rice, I also use a cinema verite cinematography shooting style in many scenes, such as a hand-held camera, a few of production staff for intimacy with subject, and even no shooting plan in some scenes to bring more distinctive style to camera work.
