Abstract

            This article presents a model for the investigative news team working for the public Thai PBS Television Station and the public investigative news model of Thai PBS television station which is the result of the action research with research tools, content analysis, the 12 episodes of เปิดปม program and 50 episodes of THE EXIT news, in-depth interviews with 18 ThaiPBS internal and external stakeholders and lesson learned of the trial of the investigative news model for the public for 3 months under the concept of the investigative news reporting, the concept of the role of the media and the theory of SWOT analysis, leading to working the model of the public investigative news team Thai PBS television station, the public investigative news model Thai PBS Television Station and Data Investigative Journalist: Direction of investigative news team work Thai PBS television station.

Working the model of public investigative news team Thai PBS television station has  4 step processes, step 1 Product and Target Audience: Who is the target audience? Thai PBS investigative news, who is watching?, step 2 definition and scope of the investigative news for the public, step 3 set an agenda for the investigative news for the public and step 4 the process of the investigative news for the public ThaiPBS. All 4 steps are under the management of the the investigative news team by completing range of content production with partners both inside and outside the organization.

            The public investigative news model of Thai PBS television station is transmedia and storytelling, presenting the same news stories on online media under the brand THE EXIT ONLINE, in the form of long news documentaries, short documentaries TikTok and EXCLUSIVE interviews and presentations on the media. Television under the brand THE EXIT ONLINE.
