Abstract

This research entitled “Management of social-cultural and environmental impacts from the changing of local textile production process to modern production. This research is a quality research which was study from related document and theories as well as field data collection. Research example was village’s key informants including 3 village leaders and 76 Tai Lue’s weaving group members. Research instruments were comprised of 3; deep interview, focus group, participating observation; the results: Tai Lue weaving tradition in Ban nayangtai had been transferred and carried from their ancestors. Encourage more quantity, used modern technology. These changing were impacts to the way of life’s people in community and environment. The dyeing color process may result chemical substances, water, air pollution, rubbish, polluted water, and toxin and small. This impacts both directly and indirectly to the weavers and community.
