Efficiency of the paper work performing of Maejo University, San Sai district, Chiang Mai Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study efficiency of the paper work performing of general affairs administration officers, Maejo University, San Sai District, Chiang Mai Province, and to suggest the ways to paper work performing development of Maejo University. Data collection was made through questionnaires for the general affairs administration officers, working on the general affairs of Maejo University, totaling 127. The data were analyzed by means of statistics consisting of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

            The findings were as follows. The general affairs performance was overall rated at a medium level with () 3.49. When considering by aspect, it was found that the service rendering had the highest mean, followed by working process in submitting the work with () 3.88, working process in receiving-sending documents, resource, working process in drafting-typing official letters with () 3.32, working process in documents filing with () 3.11, and working process in documents destroying with () 2.75, respectively. 

            An approach to general affairs performance development of Maejo University was the following. In terms of resource, the number of officers should be added proportionally with the tasks and workload, and prioritize the allotment of invest budget in material supply, equipment, and instruments; in terms of process, manpower should be analyzed properly, including studying and reducing the steps of submitting documents for quick performance; and in terms of service rendering, the operation manuals should be produced in case the responsible officer was unable to perform his/her duty, so that others would be able to do it instead.
