AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF THE CONCEPTS BASED ON THE BUDDHIST PRINCIPLES THAT APPEAR IN THE SONG KHAM MUANG LANNA FROM BUDDHIST SCRIPTURES

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) The concept of the song in the Buddhist scriptures. It was found that the song is a poem with a content for singing called a spell. And it is a song that is sung from various emotional shocks, such as from joy, from love, or from suffering until the song came out immediately at that moment. Songs in Buddhism are divided into 2 types: (1) Songs that contain Dharma (2) Songs that do not contain Dharma. 2) An analysis of the Buddha dharma principles in the Lanna Kham Muang song revealed that (1) The Truth Principle (Truth) is the truth that is neutral in nature. There is an example of the song: namely the 4 Noble Truths, recklessness, the song does not drink and drive, (2) The ethical principles (the things that should be practiced) contain examples of songs, namely, Benchasila, Right Livelihood, Karma Pursuit, Delusion, etc. 3) Guidelines for promoting Kham Muang songs in the Lanna Buddhist way found that: (1) The individual level. Guidelines for promoting Kham Muang songs Local organizations should establish the Entertainment Welfare Division, encourage local talented artists to have their work, pay compensation, set up groups, clubs, associations in the entertainment sector at the local, provincial, county and national levels.  (2) Organizational level. Guidelines for promoting Kham Muang songs, should create a network of Lanna artists, establish a school and develop a learning resource for Lanna Kham Muang songs, Passed a course on Kham Muang songs. (3) National level. Guidelines for promoting Kham Muang songs should organize a meeting to build knowledge and understanding of the conservation of Kham Muang song and continually develop project plans and activities to promote learning.
