LESSON LEARNED FOR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION ACHIEVEMENT BASED ON ETHNIC CULTURE OF BAN NONG KHIAO SCHOOL UNDER MAE HONG SON PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1 WHERE APPLYING KING RAMA IX’S TEACHINGS FOR IMPLEMENTATION

The objectives of this qualitative research were 1) to Lesson Learned the school administrative process; 2) to Lesson Learned the operational problems and obstacles of school administration; and 3) to analyze factors for school administration achievement based on ethnic culture of Ban Nong Khiao school where applying King Rama IX’s teachings for implementation. Data were collected by an structured interview with a specific group of samples (Purposive Sampling) form that the content validity was calculated between 0.89 -1.00. The interview results were checked the accuracy and examined by data triangulation, then synthesized the data by content analysis, and organized a focus group discussion.
The results of the research showed that
- The process of school administration consisted of: 1.1) Inspiration, 1.2) Internal analysis and external conditions (SWOT), 1.3) Decision making, 1.4) Participation, 1.5) Managing people to work, 1.6) Evaluation, 1.7) Appreciation, and 1.8) Sustainability.
- The operational problems and obstacles for school administration revealed that 2.1) There were not enough teachers for each class; 2.2) The student's environment consisted of a ready home, there were a few parents as assistant teachers so that the elders taught the youngers; 2.3) The students' Thai language skills; and 2.4) The size of the area where the schools were located.
- Factors for school administration achievement based on ethnic culture of Ban Nong Khiao school where applying King Rama IX’s teachings for implementation consisted of 3.1) The director’ vision, 3.2) Teachers and students of Nong Khiao school, 3.3) The specific specialists of the personnel, 3.4) The strength of the academic ways that applied King Rama IX’s teachings for implementation, 3.5) Wisdom capital based on community ethnicity, 3.6) School location, and 3.7) The cooperation of communities and network partners.
