APPROPRIATE QUALITY ASSURANCE GUIDELINES FOR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE PRIVATE EDUCATION COMMISSION: GAINESVILLE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CHIANG RAI CASE STUDY

The objectives of this research were: 1) to investigate and analyze the international education quality assurance accordance to the international organizations announced by Education Ministry 2) to propose the appropriate organization and its quality guidelines and standards of educational quality assurance from this study to Gainesville International School Chiang Rai (GISCR) 3) to establish steps of operation process accordance with the proposed organization. This research was qualitative study. The unit of study were comprising of 4 international education assurance organizations and their quality guidelines and standards and the Office of Nation Education Standards and Quality Assessment (Public Organization: ONESQA.) Data collection was conducted from documents and electronic ones of those 5 organizations.
The results of this research found that:
- Education quality assessment system of each studied organization was comprised of various subsystems and they were different from each other in detail. For the 4 international organizations, except ONESQA, in order to obtain quality assurance assessment, It is necessary for school to be a member of particular organization and its membership fee is required.
- From the study and analysis, the appropriate organization with its quality assurance guidelines and standards for GISCR for the time being was ONESQA.
- Appropriate quality guidelines process for GISCR in order to have educational assessment from ONESQA are divided into 4 steps. 1) to study the ONESQA quality assurance guidelines and standards as a whole 2) to contact the office of the Private Education Commission for the external quality assurance of ONESQA 3) to prepare and submit any information requested to ONESQA (if any) and 4) to prepare online site visiting and all stakeholders interviewing by ONESQA.
