Development of a Management Model for Student Development Activities in the Secondary Education Service Area Office Lampang Lamphun

Abstract

This research article aimed to: 1) study the components and guidelines for managing student development activities, 2) create and validate a management model for student development activities, and 3) evaluate a management model for student development activities. This research is mixed-methods research. The research method consists of 3 steps as follows: Step 1: Study, synthesizing documents and studying the current status, desired status, and necessity. The sample group consists of 311 school administrators and teachers in secondary schools. The study of guidelines for developing a management model for student development was conducted by interviewing 5 school directors. Step 2: Create and validate a management model for student development activities. This involves drafting and examining the appropriateness of the draft model by 9 experts. Step 3: Evaluate a management model for student development activities by 35 stakeholders. The instruments used for data collection included a questionnaire, an interview, a form to check the suitability of the draft model, and a questionnaire on the feasibility and usefulness of the model. The statistical methods used for data analysis included content analysis, mean, standard deviation, and the priority needs index (PNI).

The research found that:

1. A management model for student development activities in the Secondary Education Service Area Office Lampang Lamphun consisted of 6 components as follows: 1) Principles, 2) Objectives, 3) Scope of management, 4) Process of management, 5) Guidelines for evaluating management, and 6) Success factors.
2. The results of the draft model suitability examination found that the suitability was at a high level.
3. The evaluation of the feasibility and usefulness of the model found that the feasibility was at a high level and the usefulness was at the highest level.
