A Study of the Components of Integrative Leadership

This research article aims to examine the components of integrative leadership using a mixed-methods research approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods. The study was conducted in four phases: 1) a review of 12 relevant documents on the components of integrative leadership; 2) interviews with five experts selected through purposive sampling; 3) a multiple-case study of two model schools through interviews; and 4) an evaluation of the appropriateness of the identified components by five experts. Data collection instruments included a document synthesis form, interview guides, and a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The research found that:
the components of integrative leadership, synthesized from the document review, expert interviews, and multiple-case study, comprise five key elements: 1) vision for change, 2) creativity and innovation, 3) teamwork, 4) network collaboration, and 5) goal orientation. The evaluation of the components’ appropriateness by experts revealed that, overall, the components are highly suitable. Specifically, the elements of vision for change, creativity and innovation, teamwork, network collaboration, and goal orientation were all rated at the highest level of appropriateness.
