It is an indexing tool that allows searching and ability to filter the results of a wide variety of library information resources as efficiently as Google searches. This article presents Discovery tools on its background, meaning, types, features, comparison, and examples, which will be an alternative for librarians and information professionals to improve search engines, considering Discovery tools as one of the alternatives to support the most cost-effective search and access to the information available in libraries.
