A Cross Cultural Learning of ASEAN Religion: A Case Study of Myanmar

Abstract

ASEAN Cross Cultural Learning is the learning of different cultures and the diversity of cultures in ASEAN countries. The reason of learning other cultures is to learn and accept good manner and practice from other local areas and to apply for student development to be ready of learning from different society which are 5 steps consisted of 1) opened-mind for new culture, 2) prepared mind to learn different things, 3) adjust the emotion into the situation, 4) understand other behaviors, and 5) adjust the paradigm of culture. The studying of this research was to study ASEAN cross cultural learning in Myanmar focusing on cultural learning process in religion of undergraduate Thai students at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University in both main campus and regional campuses. Research-based learning was used for encouraging students to search for new knowledge with systematically. Students were also encouraged to ASEAN cross cultural capacity by adjusting themselves to live in ASEAN community with understanding while they are living and doing activities with ASEAN people based on different cultures
