The Needs Assessment of Guidance Services for Extra-large School in Hatyai School Cluster Campus Network under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Songkhla-Satun

Abstract

This Article aimed to study (1) current conditions and desirable conditions of Guidance services (2) study the results of the needs analysis regarding the operation according to the Guidance services and (3) compile suggestions about the Guidance services for Extra-large School in Hatyai School Cluster Campus Network under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Songkhla-Satun. The research instrument will include a questionnaire, rating scale that reliability was .975, and statistics consisting of the frequency, mean, standard deviation and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI_modified). The results are shown that (1) the current state of Guidance services was at an average and when considered in each aspect, it was found that in the low level in Individual inventory service and in the average level 4 aspects. The desirable condition of Guidance services was in the high level when considered in each aspect, it was found that in the high level all aspects. (2) The results of the needs analysis regarding the Guidance services for Extra-large School in Hatyai School Cluster Campus Network under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Songkhla-Satun found that the need for Individual inventory service was at the level of Highest. The second was Information service. The 3^rd was Placement service. The 4^th was the Follow-up service and the 5^th was Counseling service. And (3) By compiling and considering the suggestions of the Guidance services, it appears that the committee should be appointed directly responsible for surveying students and considering grants to students in need. Students' abilities and aptitudes should be measured, and systematic guidance should be monitored.
