Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study needs to develop knowledge and skills in information technology among committee of Saimai Community, Bangkok Metropolitan, 2) study behaviors on using information technology among committee of Saimai Community, Bangkok Metropolitan, 3) compare needs to develop knowledge in information technology according to educational level, occupation, and holding positions in the committee of Saimai Community, and 4) compare skills in information technology according to educational level, occupation, and holding positions in the committee of Saimai Community. The sample of this research are 113 committees of Saimai Community, Bangkok Metropolitan and the tool used in this research was the questionnaire. Statistics used in the data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.) and the hypothesis was tested by F-test. The research could be concluded as follows:
1) Overall, needs to develop knowledge and skills in information technology among committee of Saimai Community, Bangkok Metropolitan was at the high level (mean = 4.18 and 3.62, respectively). Besides, the overall of behaviors on using information technology among committee of Saimai Community, Bangkok Metropolitan was at the high level (mean = 4.40)
2) Educational level, occupation, and holding positions in the committee of Saimai Community had effects on needs to develop knowledge and skills in information technology but had no effects on skills in information technology with a statistically significant difference at 0.05.
