THE EFFECTS OF PHONICS TEACHING METHOD TO ENHANCE COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF GRADE 4

Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to create the efficiency of phonics teaching method for communication skills lesson plans of grade 4 Wat Nongpaknak School in 2020 at Suphanburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. The lesson plans at the level of 75/75 2) to compare English communication skills of grade 4 before and after using the phonics teaching method. The sample size of the research was 14 in 1 room of the second semester of 2020 academic year calculating used purposive sampling. Research methods were used as following 1) Phonics teaching method lesson plans for grade 4 were 10 lesson plans and 2) Reading test of objective test and subjective test for grade 4 students. Data were collected by using mean, the standard deviation, E1/ E2 and t-test dependent score.
The result showed that: the efficiency of phonics teaching method lesson plans of grade 4 was 77.06/77.62 that was higher than the level of 75/75 and English communication skills achievement of grade 4 by phonics teaching method with was higher than the criteria at the statistical significance of .05.
