Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to survey general information, interests and requirements for admission to the Master of Science Program in Physics Education at Rangsit University, 2) to find the ranking of demand for course content in the curriculum and 3) to find the ranking of factors affecting the decision to enroll in the curriculum. The 243 samples, using purposive sampling are the in-service teachers in educational institutions. The data were collected using the checklist questionnaires and were analyzed using percentage and mean statistics. The results of the study found that 1) most of the samples graduated with a bachelor's degree in Educational Physics courses and Physics Teaching, working under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. Moreover, the required study hours are only after-hours and they would like to enroll (6 credits of independent research, at least 30 credits of coursework). Furthermore, the tuition and registration fee are packaged for the entire course of 2 academic years. 2) The required course content in the Master of Science program (Physics Education) are ranked first in the creation of instructional media, second in learning management, third in creating information technology media, and fourth in learning management research. 3) the factors that affect the decision to study in the program are raked as first in a curriculum, second in an educational fee, third in the famous professor, fourth in the famous institute, fifth in the transportation, and last in the location/environment. This finding can help the program to plan for their management to gain more students in the program.
