Development of Learning Management Using Flipped Classroom with Inquiry-Based Learning (5E) and Gamification to Enhance Analytical Thinking of Matthayom 2 Students
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) develop a learning management using flipped Classroom with Inquiry-Based Learning (5E) and gamification to enhance analytical thinking of matthayom 2 students, and 2) compare the students' analytical thinking before and after the learning management. This study is a research and development study. The sample group consists of 40 matthayom 2 students from Saparachinee Trang School, during the academic year 2024, selected by cluster random sampling. The research instruments included 1) learning management plan, 2) online democratic citizenship lesson, and 3) analytical thinking assessment test based on Marzano's concept. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and independent sample t-test. The research findings revealed that 1) the developed learning management, which included a learning management plan (M = 4.83, S.D. = 0.26) and online democratic citizenship lesson (M = 4.78, S.D. = 0.27), had a very high quality. It consisted of two components: out-of-class activities (engagement, exploration, and explanation) and classroom activities (elaboration and evaluation). Gamification was integrated to stimulate analytical thinking at every stage. Students' analytical thinking after learning (M = 21.25, S.D. = 3.02) was significantly higher than before learning (M = 16.35, S.D. = 2.18) at the .05 level of significance.
