The Development of Underhand Skill Ability in Volleyball Subject for Grade 10 Students by Using the Underhand Skill Training Exercise in Learning Management

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study 1) ability of Underhand Skill from the number of underhand before and after using the underhand training exercise and compare with gender, and 2) the satisfaction of the underhand passes training exercise. The 40 Grade 10 students were a simple random sampling group. The research tools were (1) lesson plans with the underhand training exercise and Russell (2) Krongvist and Brumbach Achievement Test of underhand passes for boys were accuracy .767, reliability .817 and Russell and Lange Achievement Test of underhand for girls were an accuracy of .80, with reliability .915 and (3) the satisfaction questionnaires of the underhand training exercise that IOC were between 0.67 to 1.00. The results showed that 1) the number of underhand before and after using the underhand training exercise and gender were significant at .01. The means of the underhand number of boys before training and after training were 5.72 and 27.20, respectively. The means of underhand number of girls before training and after training were 3.47 and 16.80, respectively. And 2) the means of students’ satisfaction of the underhand training exercise were 4.31. They were high level.
