ความท้าทายของการพัฒนาหลักสูตรนานาชาติของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาไทยในบริบทของอำเภอหาดใหญ่

บทคัดย่อ

ปัจจุบันหลักสูตรนานาชาติของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาไทยมีการแข่งขันอย่างดุเดือด หลักสูตรนานาชาติของมหาวิทยาลัยในส่วนภูมิภาค เช่น อำเภอหาดใหญ่ จังหวัดสงขลา จึงมีความท้าทายเมื่อเทียบกับการเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่ตั้งอยู่ในเมืองหลวงหรือการเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยในต่างประเทศที่เปิดหลักสูตรนานาชาติ เนื่องจากอำเภอหาดใหญ่ เป็นเมืองแห่งเศรษฐกิจ การท่องเที่ยว และการลงทุน ดังนั้น มหาวิทยาลัยควรใช้บริบทหาดใหญ่เป็นโจทย์ของความท้าทายในการพัฒนากำลังคนให้พร้อมต่อการทำงานที่สอดรับบริบทของหาดใหญ่เองและในระดับนานาชาติ ปัจจุบันอำเภอหาดใหญ่มีหลักสูตรนานาชาติทั้งหมด 8 หลักสูตรจาก 2 มหาวิทยาลัย ทั้ง 2 มหาวิทยาลัยนี้มีปรัชญา วิสัยทัศน์ และค่านิยมร่วมด้านวิชาการและนวัตกรรม จึงอาจมองได้ว่ามีความท้าทายในทิศทางที่ใกล้เคียงกัน จากการสังเคราะห์ข้อมูลผู้วิจัยนำเสนอความท้าทายของหลักสูตรนานาชาติของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาไทยในบริบทอำเภอหาดใหญ่ทั้งหมด 5 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) คู่แข่งเพื่อนบ้าน 2) การบริหารคนในหลักสูตรนานาชาติ 3) การประชาสัมพันธ์ 4) การจัดการศึกษาในห้องเรียน และ 5) การจัดการศึกษานอกห้องเรียน โดยมิติเหล่านี้ล้วนเป็นการพิจารณาจากบริบทพื้นที่ เอกสารที่เปิดเผยได้ของมหาวิทยาลัยผ่านฐานข้อมูลออนไลน์ ซึ่งในการนำไปใช้จำเป็นต้องพิจารณาถึงทรัพยากร ข้อจำกัด ทิศทางการพัฒนา และจุดเด่นของหลักสูตรและมหาวิทยาลัยเพื่อชูจุดเด่นที่สามารถจูงใจผู้เรียนให้เลือกเรียนหลักสูตรนานาชาติของมหาวิทยาลัยในหาดใหญ่ได้
