The Journal of Education and Innovative Learning (JEIL) is operated by the Education and Innovative Learning Academy, Prince of Songkla University. The Journal is established to publish academic contributions and research works in fields of development of educational and learning management and classroom research. It welcomes articles in both Thai and English from lecturers, scholars, researchers, students, and the general public. Utilizing an online management system, the journal ensures the quality of its articles through a rigorous double-blind review process, involving at least three experts from relevant fields and different institutions (not affiliated with the authors’ institution). This process maintains the confidentiality of both authors and reviewers.

Aims 

1. To gather and publish academic works and research related to innovation of teaching and learning, as well as classroom research.

2. To promote and develop the quality of academic contributions by educational staff in various fields, lecturers, students, and academics.

3. To encourage continuous new research, investigation, and creation of educational innovations both within and outside the university.

Scope 

The articles submitted for publication in the Journal of Educational and Innovative Learning should contain academic contents relevant to the fields specified by the journal, which include:

Publication Frequency 

The journal has 3 issues per year:
• Issue 1: January – April
• Issue 2: May – August
• Issue 3: September – December

The number of articles published per issue is approximately 20, written in Thai and English. The journal has been published in electronic form with ISSN: 3027-6187 (Online) since Vol. 3 No. 3 (2023).

 Types of Articles 

1. Research Article: An article written based on the author’s research or collaborative research. It includes an introduction, objectives, literature review, research methodology, research result, discussion and conclusion, recommendations, and references. The length of each article should not exceed 16 pages.

2. Academic Article: An academic writing that involves analysis, synthesis, comparison, and compilation of information from various sources, focusing on presenting new academic knowledge. It includes introduction, content (clearly presenting key points), literature review related to the content, critique or conclusion, and references. The length of each article should not exceed 16 pages.

3. Invited Article: A research or academic article invited by the journal’s editorial team from author(s) who have advanced knowledge or experience in academia or profession. It includes introduction, content, conclusion, and references. The length of each article should not exceed 16 pages.

 Peer Review Process 

Manuscripts submitted for publication in Journal of Education and Innovative Learning undergo an initial screening by the editorial team before proceeding to a peer-review process conducted by at least three qualified experts in related fields who have no conflicts of interest. The peer review process is double-blind where the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed.

 Assessment Process 

1. Preliminary consideration and plagiarism check.

2. The author pays the fee for publishing the article.

3. The reviewers judge the article. All article must undergo assessment by three expert reviewers (Peer Review). The process follows a double-blind review format, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed.

4. Article that pass the Peer Review process will be reviewed for academic accuracy by the Editorial Team as the final step.

5. Accepting the article for publication and preparing the original draft. Authors will receive an acceptance letter for the publication once the Editorial Team’s review is finalized.

Note:

• The duration in accepting for publication is counted after the author pays for publishing the article.

• The date of payment of the publication fee is considered the date of receiving the article.

• The duration in accepting for publication may change if the author does not continue according to the specified period or needs to revise many times.

• The journal utilizes the ThaiJO system for all communication with authors throughout the article review process. Please follow the process through the ThaiJO system.

 Article Processing Charges 

The journal charges a publication fee for processing charges and compensating reviewers. (Effective on 1st January 2024)

(1) A Thai article 2,500 Baht

(2) An English article 4,000 Baht

Note:

1. Authors must pay the publication fee as per the specified rate within 7 days from the date the journal management office informs the details of the fee payment. The journal management team will notify the authors in advance. If the payment is delayed, the assessment process of the manuscript will be delayed accordingly.

2. Authors should submit proof of fee payment through ThaiJo system (via the Discussion channel). Once the journal management team receives the payment evidence, the manuscript will be sent to the Peer Review Process by expert reviewers for quality assessment and publication in the journal.

3. If the author has already paid the publication fee, but the manuscript is “declined for publication” by the expert reviewers and the Editorial team, or if the author “withdraws the manuscript” from publication, the publication fee is non-refundable. This fee covers the quality assessment process, and payment of the fee does not guarantee that the manuscript will be published.

4. The publication fee will be collected only when the manuscript passes the initial screening and is forwarded to the reviewers for evaluation.

The contents and data in published articles in the Journal of Education and Innovative Learning are considered the ideas and responsibility of the author(s). The Editorial team does not necessarily agree with any ideas or hold mutual responsibility of them. Plagiarism is not permitted, even for academic purposes. However, proper citation must be given whenever referencing the articles.
