Applying the DISC Concept to Drive Administration within Education Institutes

Abstract
Knowing the personality of the co-workers or subordinates is of paramount importance for education administrators because they are like lights that shine brightly for the institute. Therefore, these administrators should be aware and understand about the personality of the co-workers or subordinates as to be applied further in driving the operations within the education institute to be appropriate with the personality of the individual. The application should focus on achieving the goals of the education institute. Perception and understanding of the personality of a colleague or subordinate is the starting point to drive work to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness by using people to suit the job according to personality. There are many tools for personality assessment and can be applied as appropriate. The DISC is a tool that can be applied in personality assessment as well as to help understand colleagues or subordinates. This article analyzes and synthesizes the guidelines for the application of DISC, which consists of Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance to be applied in assignments and driven administration within educational institutions.
