The Development of Online Learning using Self-directed Learning to Enhance English Communicative Skills for Pre-service Teachers

Abstract
The aims this research were to: 1) develop and find the efficiency of an online learning using self-directed learning to criterion of 80/80. 2) compare before and after of learning outcome on online learning using self-directed learning. And 3) study the pre-service teachers’ learning satisfaction. The sample group was 50 pre-service teachers at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University in the second semester of academic year 2022 by volunteer basis. The research instruments were an online learning platform using self-directed learning, English communicative skills test, and learning satisfaction assessment form. The statistics used this research were mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent. The findings were: 1) the efficiency of an online learning using self-directed learning equal 81.10/81.15 according the criterion of 80/80. 2) the pre-service teachers achievement in English communicative skills after learning was higher than before learning at the statistically significant level .01 and 3) the pre-service teachers’ learning satisfaction were at the highest level.
