The Development of a Practice Package to Improve Reading Literacy According to PISA Test Guidelines among Grade 6 Students in the Lopburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract
The objectives of this research were threefold: 1) develop a practice package to improve reading literacy among grade six students according to the PISA Test Guidelines and achieve an efficiency criterion of 80/80, 2) compare the reading abilities of sixth grade students before and after implementing the PISA-based reading practice package; and 3) study student satisfaction with the PISA-based reading practice package learning management. The sample consisted of 38 sixth-grade students from Anuban Lopburi School during the second semester of the 2024 academic year. The sample was selected through multi-stage random sampling. The research instruments included the PISA-based reading practice package, lesson plans incorporating the PISA-based reading practice package, a reading literacy assessment based on PISA, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed using percentages, means, standard deviations, and dependent samples t-tests. The results revealed that: (1) the PISA-based reading practice package achieved an efficiency score of 82.11/81.58 (E1/E2), meeting the established criteria, (2) studentsí reading abilities increased significantly after using the practice package (x̄=27.58, S.D.=3.34) compared to before the intervention (x̄=25.61, S.D.=3.91), t(37)=-2.93, p=.0006, indicating a statistically significant difference at the .05 level, and (3) Grade 6 students were highly satisfied with the learning management system (x̄=4.67, S.D.=0.60).
